ReWireless

I’ve been really enjoying using ReWire with my bluetooth Jawbone Jambox speaker. Not only is the wireless feature comfortable, the Jawbone speaker has this cool 3-D effect called LiveAudio that creates a spacial dimension to the sound that is very interesting to use as part of the ReWire meditation session. Gone’s never sounded so good! ;) I even put up a shelf just for the speaker in front of my zabuton. :)

The other device that I have really been looking forward to using with ReWire, is the Parrot Zik Headphones. Designed by the famous designer Philippe Starck they are high end headphones that, like the Jambox, connect to your iPhone via bluetooth to provide a wireless experience that would perfectly complement a ReWire session. Parrot if you’re listening, feel free to send us a pair of those bad boys to test out, we’re drooling over here.

While this post isn’t necessarily about ReWire, I just wanted to let everyone know about some cool accessories that can make the ReWire experience that much richer. ReWire is meditation remixed and we think wireless is the coolest way to remix it.

New ReWire Store!

Check it out guys! We recently created our new ReWire icon and thought he/she would look cool on some products. We’ve got mugs, t-shirts, iPhone cases, etc. Check it out and if you want a particular ReWire design scheme let us know and we’ll see what we can do. All of the profits will go toward the upcoming ReWire iPhone app. Thank you for everyone’s continued support!

ReWire Beta Launch

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been awhile since I last posted about the Sense Gate project. Well, I have a few updates to announce.

First on the list, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, a name change. From now on the app formally known as Sense Gate will be called ReWire. We thought the name ReWire better reflected what we believe this new approach to meditation to be; fresh, new, rooted in the meditative traditions, based on scientific research (brain change), embracing of technology as a mind training tool and a mind training product that fits seamlessly into our modern lives. Overall, the new name is more clear about what this product is and does. Get ready to ReWire your human biological apparatus at a fundamental level y’all. ;)

A second update is a big one, the ReWire Beta will be available early for a anyone who signs up at our ReWire Beta launch page.

We are really looking forward to releasing ReWire just as soon as possible. But for those who sign up, look for it in May.

Also, as a side, we are looking for partners to collaborate with on content specifically designed for ReWire. If you are a musician, DJ, or videographer who may be interested, please DM me @mikeredmer on twitter.

We are also continuing our work with our awesome development team. Mahesh and his team have been an amazing support to this project and I wanted to take some time to thank them from the bottom of my heart. You guys rock!

Well that’s all for now, but look for our ReWire website going up in May as well as a host of new updates. For everyone that signs up, we would really appreciate any sharing to your social networks to help spread the word about ReWire.

We are looking forward to our Beta testers feedback on the product, to help make ReWire one of the coolest, most fun, most effective meditation apps on the market. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.

Reaction Times

I found this interesting site that rates your reaction speeds.

Focus and concentration skills are needed to react to external stimulus in a timely fashion. This is especially relevant in sports. Sense Gate trains both concentration and reaction speeds. This test would be an interesting metric to experiment with before training with Sense Gate and after. Perhaps some early adopters would be interested to try it out. :) What reaction time did you guys get?
